History

In 1993, a group of Carroll County citizens incorporated as the Community Children’s Home, Inc. This non-profit organization was dedicated to the welfare of children and recognized the need for children to have a safe harbor from abuse and neglect.

The Board of Trustees is comprised of volunteers. The board chose to name “Alice’s House” in honor of Mrs. Alice Richards, a longtime supporter of the needs of children and citizens of the community.
